Founded in 1986, the Wroughton Wranglers Cricket Club is
situated in the village of Wroughton, located on the outskirts of Swindon.
Initially the club play friendly matches against neighbouring clubs but later
joined what is now the Wiltshire Cricket League. The Wroughton Wranglers currently play in
Division Two of the league having previously played in Division One for a
number of years.
The club has one Saturday team as well as two midweek teams
and an indoor team that participates in a winter league.
Off the pitch, the club values its close knit social side
with post game drinks taking place in the Brown Jack, the unofficial watering
hole of the Wroughton Wranglers. Of course, when diaries allow, a handful of
nights out are organised in Swindon town and these are usually well attended.
Like all cricket clubs, the Wroughton Wranglers are always
on the lookout for new players of all abilities. If you have an interest in
playing then please make a request to join the team, making sure to set out
your details and how you can be contacted in the explanation section of your request.
